    Five Day Lodge & Tented Camp Safari

    Day One: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

    Transfer to Tarangire National Park after breakfast in Arusha (2 hours). Game drive in Tarangire for the rest of the day, proceeding to Kichuguu Camp (opening 2017) for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Tarangire's wildlife includes elephant, lion, giraffe, and many bird and antelope species. 

     

    Day Two: Tarangire to Central Serengeti

    Morning game drive in Tarangire as you exit the park. Transfer to Serengeti National Park after exiting Tarangire, passing through Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. Game drive for the rest of the day, arriving at Kiota Camp at approximately 6pm for dinner and overnight.

     

    Species commonly seen in the Serengeti ecosystem include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 bird species.

     

    Day Three: Central Serengeti 

    Full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Meals and overnight at Kiota Camp.

     

    Day Four: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

    Game drive in Serengeti National Park. Proceed to Rhino Lodge after your game drive. Arrive at Rhino Lodge at approximately 5pm.

     

    Day Five: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

    6am departure for your Ngorongoro Crater game drive. Spend several hours on the Crater floor before returning to Arusha. 

     

    Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus and cheetah.

    Seven day budget camping safari

    Day One: Tarangire National Park

    Depart Arusha at 9:30am for Tarangire National Park. The drive to Tarangire is approximately two hours. After registering at Tarangire Gate, game drive for the rest of the day. Spend the night at Miswaki Campsite, inside Tarangire National Park. 

     

    Tarangire's wildlife includes elephant, lion, giraffe, and many bird and antelope species. 

     

    Day Two: Tarangire National Park

    Full day game drive in Tarangire National Park, visiting the Tarangire River and other areas. Return to Miswaki Campsite after the game drive.

     

    Day Three: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

    Early morning game drive in Tarangire. Transfer to Serengeti National Park after exiting Tarangire. Drive through Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Southern Serengeti before reaching Serengeti National Park. Have an afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park, arriving at Seronera Campsite at approximately 5:30pm. 

     

    Species commonly seen in the Serengeti ecosystem include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 bird species.

     

    Day Four: Serengeti National Park

    Spend a full day on game drives in Serengeti National Park. Return to Seronera Campsite after your game drive.

     

    Day Five: Serengeti National Park

    Spend a full day on game drives in Serengeti National Park. Return to Seronera Campsite after your game drive.

     

    Day Six: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

    Enjoy the morning in the Serengeti. Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area after the game drive. Arrive at Simba Campsite on the Crater rim in time for the spectacular sunset. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite. 

     

    Day Seven: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

    Depart the campsite after an early breakfast (or with a breakfast box) for your Crater game drive. Spend several hours viewing wildlife on the Crater floor before returning to Arusha. 

     

    Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus and cheetah.

    Nine Day Lodge & Tented Camp Safari

    Day One: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

     

    Leave your Arusha hotel at 9am for Tarangire National Park (2 hour drive). Game drive for the rest of the day, arriving at Kichuguu Camp (opening 2017) at approximately 6pm. 

     

    Tarangire's wildlife includes elephant, lion, giraffe, and many bird and antelope species. 

     

    Day Two: Tarangire National Park

     

    Full day game drive in Tarangire National Park visiting the Tarangire River and other areas. Return to Kichuguu Camp for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Day Three: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

     

    Tarangire morning drive as you exit the park. Transfer to Mto wa Mbu for a Rift Valley hike or cultural tour. After the hike, transfer to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge overlooking Ngorongoro Crater. 

     

    Day Four: Ngorongoro Crater

     

    6am departure for your Ngorongoro Crater game drive. Enjoy several hours on the Crater floor before returning to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

     

    Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus and cheetah. 

     

    Day Five: Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti National Park

     

    Transfer to Serengeti National Park after breakfast. Game drive through the Southern and Central Serengeti for the rest of the day, arriving at Kiota Camp at approximately 6pm for dinner and overnight.

     

    The Serengeti ecosystem is home to the wildebeest migration, an annual migration of 1.2 million wildebeest and zebra.

     

    Day Six: Serengeti National Park

     

    Full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Meals and overnight at Kiota Camp. 

     

    Day Seven: Central to Northern Serengeti

     

    Transfer to the Northern Serengeti after a morning game drive in the Central Serengeti. Game drive for the rest of the day, arriving at Chaka Camp at about 6pm. 

     

    Day Eight: Northern Serengeti

     

    Full day in Northern Serengeti. Meals and overnight at Chaka Camp. 

     

    Day Nine: Northern Serengeti to Arusha or Zanzibar

     

    Go on a morning game drive on the way to Kogatende Airstrip. Take a 10am flight to Arusha or Zanzibar.

    Nine Day Private Camping Safari

    During a private camping safari, Duma Explorer is assigned special campsites inside the parks. In addition to the standard budget safari equipment including sleeping tents, bedding, tables and chairs, Duma also provides toilet, shower and mess tents.


    Day One: Tarangire National Park

    Full day in Central Serengeti. Meals and overnight at a special campsite inside the park.

     

    Day Five: Northern Serengeti

    Transfer to Northern Serengeti after a morning game drive in Central Serengeti. Game drive for the rest of the day, spending the night at a special campsite in the Lobo area. 

     

    Day Six: Northern Serengeti

    A full day in Serengeti National Park. Return to your special campsite after your game drive.

     

    Day Seven: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

    Spend the morning in the Serengeti. Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area after the game drive. Arrive at the Crater rim in time for the spectacular sunset. Dinner and overnight at a special campsite near Ngorongoro Crater.

    Depart the campsite after an early breakfast (or with a breakfast box) for your Crater game drive. Spend several hours on the Crater floor before returning to the special campsite.

    Thirteen Day Luxury Tented Camp Safari & Cultural Tour

    Day One: Tarangire National Park

    Leave Arusha at 9am for Tarangire National Park. The drive to Tarangire is approximately two hours. After reaching Tarangire, proceed on a game drive for the rest of the day, eating a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population, scenery and diverse birdlife. At approximately 6pm, reach Oliver's Camp, a tented camp that offers guided bush walks and night game drives. 

     

    Tarangire's wildlife includes elephant, lion, giraffe, and many bird and antelope species.

     
    Day Two: Tarangire National Park

    Go on a morning bush walk with Oliver's Camp staff. Return to the camp for brunch. After a short rest, enjoy a game drive. Dinner and overnight at Oliver's Camp.

     
    Day Three: Tarangire to Manyara Ranch

    Morning game drive in Tarangire as you exit the park. Continue to Manyara Ranch, eating a hot lunch at Manyara Ranch after arrival. In the afternoon, go on a game drive from the camp. Return for dinner and after enjoy a night game drive. 

     

    Manyara Ranch is home to elephant, lion, giraffe and many antelope and bird species.

     
    Day Four: Manyara Ranch

    Full day of activities at Manyara Ranch including walking safaris, night safaris, game drives and horse riding (experienced riders only). 

     
    Day Five: Manyara Ranch to Lake Eyasi

    Morning walking safari at Manyara Ranch. Continue to Lake Eyasi after the walk. Arrive at Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp in time for lunch. Receive a cultural tour briefing after lunch. Visit the Datoga Tribe or relax by the pool in the afternoon. 

     
    Day Six: Lake Eyasi

    Early morning hunt with the Hadzabe Tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Tanzania. After the hunt, return to Kisima Ngeda for brunch. Visit the Datoga Tribe in the afternoon. Overnight at Kisima Ngeda.

     

    Day Seven: Lake Eyasi to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

    Morning activity in Lake Eyasi. Depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area after lunch at Kisima Ngeda. Arrive at Lemala Camp in the late afternoon.

     

    Day Eight: Ngorongoro Crater

    Depart at 6am for Ngorongoro Crater. Spend several hours on the Crater floor before returning to Lemala Camp. Return to the Ngorongoro Lemala Camp for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus, and cheetah. 

     

    Day Nine: Serengeti National Park

    Pass through Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way to Serengeti National Park. Game drive in the afternoon, viewing the Central Serengeti's resident carnivore population. Arrive at Kiota Camp at 6pm for dinner and overnight.

     

    Species commonly seen in the Serengeti include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 species of birds.

     

    Day Ten: Central Serengeti

    Full day in the Central Serengeti. Return to Kiota Camp for dinner and overnight. (Optional hot air balloon ride.)

     

    Day Eleven: Northern Serengeti

    After breakfast, leave for the Northern Serengeti. Spend the rest of the day viewing animals. Arrive at Chaka Camp at approximately 6pm. Acquaint yourself with the small tented camp before dark. 

     

    Day Twelve: Northern Serengeti

    Full day game drive in the Northern Serengeti. Return to Chaka Camp for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Day Thirteen: Northern Serengeti to Arusha or Zanzibar

    Game drive on the way to Kogatende Airstrip. Fly from Serengeti to Arusha or Zanzibar

    Fourteen Day Camping Safari : Wildlife Safari, Cultural Tour, and Volcano Summit

    Day One: Tarangire National Park 

    Depart Arusha at 9:30am for Tarangire National Park (approx. two hours). Drop off supplies at Miswaki Campsite before proceeding on to an afternoon game drive. Return to the campsite at about 6pm for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Tarangire's wildlife includes elephant, lion, giraffe, and many bird and antelope species. 

     

    Day Two: Tarangire National Park 

    Spend a full day in Tarangire. Return to Miswaki Campsite for dinner and overnight.

     

    Day Three: Lake Manyara National Park 

    Leave the campsite after breakfast for Lake Manyara National Park. Game drive in the park for the rest of the day. Dinner and overnight at Nsya Campsite. 

     

    Lake Manyara's wildlife includes elephant, giraffe, baboon, warthog and many species of birds. 

     

    Day Four: Lake Natron 

    Depart Nsya Campsite after breakfast for Lake Natron. After reaching the campsite, explore the nearby river and lake. Early dinner at World View Campsite and prepare for your midnight ascent of Oldonyo Lengai. Hike Oldonyo Lengai from midnight until 8am, returning to the campsite for a rest. Relax the rest of the day in Lake Natron. Overnight at World View Campsite.

     

    Day Five: Lake Natron 

    Enjoy a river or lake hike. Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

     

    Day Six: Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park 

    Depart the campsite after breakfast for Serengeti National Park. Game drive in the park until reaching Lobo Campsite. Species commonly seen in the Serengeti include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard.

     

    The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 species of birds. The wildebeest migration is usually located in the Southern Serengeti from January through March.

     

    Day Seven: Serengeti National Park 

    We recommend going on early morning and afternoon game drives, returning to the campsite for lunch – plan your game drive departure times directly with the guide.  Overnight at Lobo Campsite.

     

    Day Eight: Serengeti National Park 

    Move to the Central Serengeti after breakfast. Game drive for the rest of the day, arriving at Seronera Campsite at about 6pm.

     

    Day Nine: Serengeti National Park 

    Spend a full day in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite.

     

    Day Ten: Serengeti to Ngorongoro 

    Depart the campsite after breakfast for a final game drive through the Serengeti. Game drive on the way to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight at Simba Campsite.

     

    Day Eleven: Ngorongoro Crater 

    All day game drive in Ngorongoro Crater. Return to Simba Campsite for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus, and cheetah. 

     

    Day Twelve: Ngorongoro to Lake Eyasi 

    Depart the lodge after breakfast for Lake Eyasi, arriving around lunchtime. Visit the Datoga tribe after a cultural tour briefing. Overnight at Nyika Campsite.

     

    Day Thirteen: Lake Eyasi 

    Leave the campsite at 5:30am for a Hadzabe hunt. Track game through the bush for several hours. Return to the campsite for brunch. Rest until the early afternoon. Tour the local villages and visit the Datoga tribe in the afternoon. Overnight at Nyika Campsite.

     

    Day Fourteen: Lake Eyasi to Arusha 

    Depart midday for Arusha after a morning activity and lunch in Lake Eyasi.

    Depart Arusha at 9am for Tarangire National Park (approx. two hours). Please let the guide know if you would like to stop at an ATM or grocery store on your way out of town. Game drive in the park until reaching Oliver’s Camp at 5:30pm.

    Day Two: Tarangire National Park 

    Morning bush walk in Tarangire. Return to the camp for breakfast. Game drive in the park before returning to Oliver’s for dinner. Plan your game drive departure time directly with the guide.

     

    Day Three: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Conservation Area 

    Final game drive through Tarangire National Park. Leave the park around 12pm for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight at Lemala Tented Camp on the Crater rim.

     

    Day Four: Ngorongoro Crater 

    Depart at 6:30am for a full day Crater game drive. Return to Lemala Tented Camp after the game drive for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus, and cheetah. 

     

    Day Five: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park 

    Depart for the Serengeti after breakfast, visiting Olduvai Gorge along the way. Game drive in Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park before reaching Kiota Camp at about 6pm.

     

    Species commonly seen in the Serengeti include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 species of birds. 

     

    Day Six: Serengeti National Park 

    Game drive in the Central Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Kiota Camp.

     

    Day Seven: Northern Serengeti National Park 

    Transfer to the Northern Serengeti, viewing animals along the way. Reach Chaka Camp near the Maasai Mara border at about 5:30pm.

     

    Day Eight: Northern Serengeti 

    Spend the day in the Northern Serengeti. Arrange game drive times directly with the guide. Overnight at Chaka Camp.

     

    Day Nine: Serengeti to Zanzibar 

    Fly to Zanzibar at 10am. Transfer to Baraza, Duma's favorite 5 star property in Zanzibar. Diving and other beach activities are also available.

     

    Days Ten through Thirteen: Zanzibar 

    Spend the day at Baraza.

     

    Day Fourteen: Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam 

    Transfer to Zanzibar Airport in time for your flight to Dar es Salaam. Await your international flight home.

    Morning Maasai medicine walk and Boma visit from Isoitok. Transfer to the Southern Serengeti mid-morning, passing through Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. Game drive for the rest of the day, arriving at Chaka Camp at approximately 6pm for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Species commonly seen in the Serengeti ecosystem include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 bird species. 

     

    Day Three: Southern Serengeti (change to Central Serengeti in May and June)

    After breakfast at Wild Palm Campsite, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is approximately 40 minutes from Wild Palm Campsite. Game drive in Lake Manyara until 6pm. Proceed to Jambo Campsite for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Lake Manyara's wildlife includes elephant, baboon, hippo, giraffe, and many antelope and bird species.

     

    Day Three: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

    Early morning game drive in Lake Manyara. Transfer to Serengeti National Park after brunch. Drive through the Southern Serengeti before reaching Serengeti National Park. Game drive for the rest of the day, arriving at Seronera Campsite at approximately 5:30pm.

    Tarangire morning drive. Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. Game drive in Lake Manyara for the rest of the day, exiting the park for Isoitok Camp after the game drive. 

     

    Lake Manyara's wildlife includes elephant, baboon, hippo, giraffe, and many antelope and bird species.

     

    Day Four: Serengeti National Park

    Maasai medicine walk and Boma visit from Isoitok. Transfer to Serengeti National Park mid-morning, passing through Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. Game drive for the rest of the day, arriving at Kiota Camp at approximately 6pm for dinner and overnight.

     

    Species commonly seen in the Serengeti ecosystem include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 bird species.

     

    Day Five: Serengeti National Park

    Full day in Serengeti National Park. Meals and overnight at Kiota Camp.

     

    Day Six: Central to Southern Serengeti (change to Western Serengeti in May and June – Mbalageti Lodge)

    Transfer to the Southern Serengeti after a morning game drive in the Central Serengeti. Game drive for the rest of the day, arriving at Chaka Camp at approximately 6pm.

     

    Day Seven: Southern Serengeti (change to Western Serengeti in May and June – Mbalageti Lodge)

    Full day in Southern Serengeti. Meals and overnight at Chaka Camp.

     

    Day Eight: Southern Serengeti to Ngorongoro

    Game drive in the Southern Serengeti. Proceed to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge on the Crater rim after the Southern Serengeti game drive.

     

    Day Nine: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

    6am departure for your Ngorongoro Crater game drive. Spend several hours on the Crater floor before returning to Arusha. 

     

    Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus, and cheetah.

    Nine Day Luxury Tented Camp Safari

    Day One: Tarangire National Park

    Leave Arusha at 9am for Tarangire National Park. The drive to Tarangire is approximately two hours. After reaching Tarangire, proceed on a game drive for the rest of the day, eating a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population, scenery and diversity of birdlife. At approximately 6pm, reach Oliver's Camp, a tented camp that offers guided bush walks and night game drives. 

     

    Tarangire's wildlife includes elephant, lion, giraffe, and many bird and antelope species. 

     

    Day Two: Tarangire National Park

    Go on a morning bush walk with Oliver's Camp staff. Return to the camp for brunch. After a short rest, go out on a game drive. Dinner and overnight at Oliver's Camp.

     

    Day Three: Tarangire to NgorongoroConservation Area

    Go on a morning game drive through Tarangire. Transfer to Ngorongoro Lemala Camp after the game drive, visiting Mto wa Mbu Village for an optional cultural tour or walking/biking activity along the way.

     

    Day Four: Ngorongoro Crater

    Depart at 6am for Ngorongoro Crater. Spend several hours on the Crater floor before returning to Lemala Camp for dinner and overnight. 

     

    Resident Crater wildlife includes lion, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus, and cheetah. 

     

    Day Five: Ngorongoro to Southern Serengeti (change to Western Serengeti in May and June – Ubuntu Camp)

    After breakfast, leave for the Southern Serengeti. Spend the rest of the day viewing animals in the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu areas. Arrive at Olakira Camp at approximately 6pm. Acquaint yourself with the small tented camp before dark. (Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge). Species commonly seen in the Serengeti include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard.

     

    The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 species of birds. The wildebeest migration is usually located in the Southern Serengeti from January through March.

     

    Day Six: Southern Serengeti (change to Western Serengeti in May and June – Ubuntu Camp)

    Full day game drive in the Southern Serengeti. Return to Olakira Camp for dinner and overnight.

     

    Day Seven: Southern Serengeti to Serengeti National Park

    Depart Olakira Camp after breakfast for the Central Serengeti. Game drive along the way, viewing the Central Serengeti's resident carnivore population. Arrive at Dunia Camp at 6pm for dinner and overnight. 

     

    The Central Serengeti's wildlife includes lion, cheetah, leopard, as well as many species of resident antelope.

     

    Day Eight: Central Serengeti

    Full day in the Central Serengeti. Return to Dunia Camp for dinner and overnight. (Optional hot air balloon ride.)

     

    Day Nine: Serengeti to Arusha or Zanzibar

    Morning game drive in the Serengeti. Proceed to Seronera Airstrip at 10am for your flight to Arusha or Zanzibar.

    Ten Day Private Camping Safari

    During a private camping safari, Duma Explorer is assigned special campsites inside the parks. In addition to the standard budget safari equipment including sleeping tents, bedding, tables and chairs, Duma also provides toilet, shower and mess tents.

     

    Day One: Tarangire National Park

    Depart Arusha at 9:30am for Tarangire National Park. The drive to Tarangire is approximately two hours. After registering at the gate, game drive for the rest of the day. Overnight at a special campsite inside the park.

    Spend the morning in the Serengeti. Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area after the game drive. Arrive at the Crater rim in time for the spectacular sunset. Dinner and overnight at a special campsite near Ngorongoro Crater.

     

    Day Nine: Ngorongoro Crater

    Depart the campsite after an early breakfast (or with a breakfast box) for your Crater game drive. Spend several hours on the Crater floor before returning to the special campsite.

    Day Four: Manyara Ranch

    Full day of activities at Manyara Ranch including walking safaris, night safaris, game drives and horse riding (experienced riders only). 

     

    Day Five: Manyara Ranch to Lake Eyasi

    Morning walking safari at Manyara Ranch. Continue to Lake Eyasi after the walk. Arrive at Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp in time for lunch. Receive a cultural tour briefing after lunch. Visit the Datoga Tribe or relax by the pool in the afternoon. 

     

    Day Six: Lake Eyasi

    Early morning hunt with the Hadzabe Tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Tanzania. After the hunt, return to Kisima Ngeda for brunch. Visit the Datoga Tribe in the afternoon. Overnight at Kisima Ngeda. 

     

    Day Seven: Lake Eyasi to Serengeti National Park

    Depart Kisima Ngeda after breakfast for the Central Serengeti. Pass through Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way to Serengeti National Park. Game drive in the afternoon, viewing the Central Serengeti's resident carnivore population. Arrive at Kiota Camp at 6pm for dinner and overnight. Kiota Camp opens May 2015.
